Cutting It Short

Would this hairstyle work for curly hair?

I have very thick curly hair…Not as curly as a typical black person’s hair but I have many ringlets. Its very frustrating to take care of and i was wondering if getting a short haircut would work for curly hair, and when i say short, i mean SHORT. Shorter than chin lenght…But im afraid to get it done and regret it. I mean if my hair is only so long, it cant really curl can it? Help… short hair for curly hair, what are your suggestions?

The shorter you cut your hair the MORE it’s going to curl up! I PROMISE you. When my hair is shorter people call it curly. When it’s long they call it wavy.

The hair curls more when it’s shorter because there isn’t as much hair to weigh it down to make it straighter.

BUT!! Really curly short hair can be really cute with certain face types! Like if you have a short oval or a heart shaped face, the curls can be beautiful framing your face. I don’t think I would go for it if you have a round face however.

Just keep in mind, your hair will definately curl MORE.
