Whats the worst or shortest haircut you had in your childhood and early teens? Did you mum or dad like your hair short then? Were you cut at the barbershop or salon or maybe even cut at home by mum or dad. I d love to hear your stories.

Ugh. When I was about 13 I had my long hair cut into a horrible short spiky crop in the mid 80s, when such things were fashionable. My dad was heartbroken. I then had it “highlighted”.

I then grew it out and permed the thing so that I looked like a poodle.

But not before going through a horrible punky phase with a long greasy fringe over one eye (I thought it looked so cool).

Yuk. Bad memories!
