Cutting It Short

I just bought a wig yesterday and I have some questions ?

I got a really short haircut that I do not like, so I went and bought a cute wig. One problem I am having is that the cap of the wig (not the hair) is itchy around my hair line, how do I make it stop? I am wearing a stocking cap.
Also, will wearing a wig hinder my own hair growth?

I would refrain from wearing it until I found out exactly what is causing the itch. Perhaps a seam, perhaps a contact allergy.
Hair usually likes to breathe and as long as the wig is not shaffing your scalp I guess no big harm should happen but then again, each person is different.
Try some tape in the wig and the stocking cap against the area in your skin where there is irritation and see how it goes. Could be a latex allergy…
As for your current haircut, it can’t be all that bad, can it? There are all sorts of beautiful silk scarves you can wear in the style of Grace Kelly.
