rocker/emo haircuts for curly hair?

ok so besids the fact i feel like a total poser asking this here it goes. so i have way curly hair, and my super long hair is totally bringing down my style. i tried cutting it like boy cut short before and it just tuned into a fro. so if anybody has any ideas of ways i could cut my hair and sum easy hair care that can help me express my hardcore innerself with my outerself. thanks!
