Cutting It Short

I have a short haircut, If i put clairol jazzing hair dye in my hair..could my hair fall out or worse??HELP!?

directions say for the die to not touch the scap which is virtually impossible on anyones head dont matter how long it is…so someone give me some good directions.
ok so im a black male 19, i have a fade my hair is thick on the top and short around the sides and stuff almost like a mowhawk but not quite..ive been wanting to change my hair color for a while so now my mom is going to do it..i really want to do it…im just somewhat scared what it will turn out..i dont want my hair falling out or anything or it looking a hot mess…i have had relaxers in the past if that helps…i havent got one since december…someone help!
