Tips and suggestions:Im having a small civil ceremony in March ?

we are just celebrating with probably 8-10 people, closest family and maybe couple of friends.. the wedding is in March, I dont know how small weddings work because I’ve only been to large ones.. I still want to have the ceremony at a nice place..idont think I should I get a big dress…i dont think its appropriate? Should I just get a short simple wedding dress or just a White dress..get flowers? shoes hair and make up done..money is not an issue, I just dont want to make a big deal about it or even get stressed out..all i care at the end of the day is to be his wife..but even if its a small ceremony and a lunch or dinner..i want it to be something nice and organized I dont like improvising too much….
any ideas or suggestions if you had a small wedding or have been to one ? and what were some dos and dont?

Don’t listen to most people on here when it comes to weddings. Most are under 20 years old and have this fairy tell idea of marriage and the ceremony still.
If it’s a small ceremony, just get a nice dress but not a huge formal dress. They make simple wedding dresses, doesn’t have to be white. I would get flowers. Whether to get shoes, make up and hair done is up to you. Are photos being taken? What kind of memory do you want to preserve? It’s a very personal choice.
There are all kinds of wedding ceremonies, it really comes down to what kind of wedding you want. The worst thing you can do is plan a wedding that someone else thinks is a good idea and then your memory of it isn’t a happy one and you have regrets that you didn’t do it the way you wanted to.
Don’t forget to have fun and not make it something you are stressed about. The focus of the day shouldn’t be lost.
My husband and I did it our way and that made us very happy.
