if you are african american, and you have a fresh cut, Dax is a product you want to buy (orange can) when you rub it in your palms ( rubbing fast to melt) put it on you hair in the directions you want the hair to lay. you will have to get a skull cap (doo rag) and tie it down daily, back in the day my brothers wore it all afternoon and night and to bed, but took it off for school, you will have to get a brush, soft brissle and constantly brush in the direction that you applied the dax. its a bit of work at the beginning but worth it. Oh, and if you have dandruff real bad you will have to wash your hair daily, nothings worse then waves with dandruff if you use dax it shows it clearly
