Shero got the patent of hair straighteners by using two flat irons that are heated and pressed together. And the hair straighteners that we use these days are undoubtedly credited to Lady Jennifer Bell Schofield. She was the one who, in 1912 combined made out the hair straighteners into a hinged, two plated heated iron. But that too is not the ultimate end of development of the hair straighteners. Far more developments are still in progress to make the hair straighteners better and far more safer and a thing of much more utility to be used more safely.

These days a large variety of hair straighteners are available in the market. These are quite easy to use and even you can use it at home without wasting a lot of money and time by visiting a hair stylist for the purpose of straightening your hair. From the development of hair straighteners, there are many types of hair straighteners in market today-GHD straighteners, CHI Iron and so on. Nevertheless you are short hair or long hair, you can use it easy. But for many new users, it maybe difficult to do so. However, using a CHI iron on short hair can be difficult due to the fact that short strands are harder to grip. But with some patience and care, straight short hair can be achieved.

1.Comb hair to remove any tangles. Separate hair into three sections (around the crown, between the ears, and at the nape) with small hair clips.

2.Start working from the bottom section. Use a small comb to grab an inch-wide strand of hair. Comb it at a 90-degree angle so that the hair sticks straight out. Apply a spritz of hairspray to help keep the hair in that position.

3.Hold the strand of hair at the tip with one hand while picking up the straightening iron with the other. Carefully release your hold on the strand of hair as you clamp down on it at the root with the iron.

4.Slide the iron through to the end of the strand. Move on to the next strand and continue until all hair has been straightened.

5.Apply a final spritz of hairspray to hold the style.

So easy isn’t it, but make sure that hair straighteners are used only on dried hair. It takes a few minutes and then you can get your desired straight hair look. But the thing that should be kept in mind is that a hair straightener may damage your hair. Though a sensible use of hair straighteners doesn’t have much harmful effects on the hair but if you are desperate enough to use it daily, you are sure to ruin your hair.
