Ways to Make the Most of Curly Hair

You love your curls but hate spending money to keep them looking perfectly coifed. You can do some great stuff with your curly hair on your own. You need not go to your hairdresser or to your salon every time to get costly straightening treatment; you need to enjoy your curly waves. A word of caution though – Crying after coming home from a salon is not a rare occurrence for someone with curly hair, especially after getting a trim or cut. Not every hair stylist knows how to cut curly hair, and not every person with curly hair knows how to articulate what they want – or knows when the stylist is doing something that won’t work for their hair.

Here are some tips just for curly hairs to get you started. Take a look at the best, inexpensive options for curly hair -

• Don’t get your curly hair cut. Longer your curly hair be, sexier they look so take a shot at growing it out. As for that haircut – ask your hairdresser to cut it in layers so your hair is easier to manage and ends up looking marvelous. So don’t pick up those straightening irons yet!

• Avoid blunt cuts, which ignore the spring factor and stretch the hair to an unnatural state so it’s too short when it dries. Cutting a blunt, uniform cut throughout the hair is just impractical.

• It’s known as Headbands Rule. Headbands tend to flatten the hair so straight hair doesn’t look so good but with curly hair, the flattening can work to your advantage. You can wear it anyway you like. Another thing you could do when your hair is damp put on a headband for a while and takes it off later and you’ll see that your hair is perfectly set at your tiara.

• Third way is via an updo. Curly hair looks enormously elegant in an updo. One of the best updos for curly hair is to use some bobby pins to arrange the curls at the top of the head. The circle of bobby pins should hold up the curls in such a way that the curls flow out like an elaborate bun. Decorate the updo with some accessories.

• For any occasion – casual or formal, the wriggle is a perfect curly hair look. Get some hair gel and hair shining serum on your hands. Blend them well together. While your hair is still damp, use one hand to pull it towards your face. While you’re doing this, use the free hand to “wriggle” your fingers over your head just the way you would if you gave yourself a head massage. Shake your hair out so it doesn’t stick together and just let it be. Don’t use a comb as it will change the entire look.

Another classic hairstyles for curly hair is the French twist, you would beautiful like no other. Pull your curls back as tightly as possibly to the back of your head to get the perfect Twist. Let some curls go and arrange them so that they flow from the top of your head, over the twist.
