Formal Hair Styles for short hair?

Does any one have any formal hair style ideas for hair that’s above the shoulder that I could do at home? I don’t have the money to go get my hair done at a salon so it will have to be something that I and maybe with the help of a friend could do.
This is for a gala party. My dress (if this helps) is spaghetti strap, long black silhouette with silver sparkley swirls all over.

I chose a few different looks so that way you could choose your fav depending on your hair type and face style. The first pic is really cute, and you could do it at home by yourself. Just straighten your hair, create a bump in the back (if you don’t know how to, Google it), and then buy a cute rhinestone clip to put in. The second one you do on your own too. Just curl your hair really well, then take a cool looking clip and do a loose hold on the back of your hair. I hope this helps though and good luck to you!
