Short Hair Cuts Thick Coarse Hair

I have extremely thick, curly, and coarse hair, whats the shortest haircut that I can get?
So I am a girl that’s Fed-up with her hair. My hair looks like a lion’s mane and I am sick of having to deal with it and keep pulling it back in a bun. I really want a pixie cut….somewhat like this picture: http://media.onsugar.com/files/ons/272/2725246/06_2009/01/pixie-haircuts-4_3.jpg I know that if i do that it will turn out like an afro and will require daily straitening and tons of products, so whats a short cut that won’t be an afro for me?? and requires minimal maintenance, and straitening??……I HAVE HAD SO MANY PEOPLE TELL ME TO GROW MY HAIR LONG AND SHOW MY CURLS…..BUT THOSE PEOPLE DON”T KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO WASH, COMB, AND DRY MY HAIR…SO, YES I AM CUTTING IT!
Shoulder Length. It wont look if its not as long as it is thick/wide though. Its gonna take you much longer to straighten, put in product and style and it will not be good for your hair as all that hairspray and heat keeping it straight will fry and damage your hair a ton. Believe me my mom started straightening her wavy hair at age 25 and it is so dry and damaged. I would keep your curls and to control them use a nice mousse and a frizz control. No shorter than your shoulders

I have that issue. Grew up with crazy curls that got frizzy and ratty easily.
One day I just cut it. All. I left about 3-4 inches…which isn’t much once it curls back up.
Looked great. I still cut it that way. Not NEARLY the frizz of long hair. WAYWAYWAYWAY better.
Just do it.
It’s a leap, but DO IT.
Best decision I ever made about my hair.
People with straight hair don’t understand how much work it is to keep curly hair from looking terrible.
A short cut will solve your problems and look super cute and stylish. When you can pull off short hair, you will look sophisticated and bold.
