How to go about getting a certain hairstyle?

I wear glasses, have a round face, with long (probably mid-back length) straight hair (when dry. When it is wet there is some wave to it) that is rather thick. I want a Meg Ryan type style, (similar to this: http://hairstyles.hairboutique.com/gallery/MegRyan003in2003_600h.jpg) short and wavy. I have been standing before, and I had short hair before. What order should I go – first haircut, then perm, or curl permanent first, then the style? I do not want to hit, but otherwise I'm pretty open. Any ideas? What kind of Perm ask so you do not end with a "? Thanks fro! Here's a link to another image: Image hairstyles.hairboutique.com id photos id is 16 078 8434 (the first available)

I could not see the picture in the link. Be realistic in your expectations. Any hairstyle where you have to alter its natural texture can also mean that you have much maintenance it look that way. It would be a good idea to go to the same stylist (that would be good if the stylist) has experience doing all the services required for style you want. Bring a photo or two to the room and show the stylist. Ask questions. Also, try to get a style that will not have to spend two hours in the morning doing. Ask your stylist to show you how to style your new haircut. A good stylist should not lose patience if you ask many questions. Is your hair and want to look good. If he / she tells Meg's style is not right for you, ask the person to show you a style that would be more appropriate. If you do not feel comfortable for any why leave before the service. Your best bet is to go to a place that has a good reputation and if you feel you are treated well. Good luck.
