How should I get my hair cut?

I’m 14, and I have shoulder-length, brown, slightly wavy hair. It’s parted on the side and has layers. It’s starting to get little split pieces on it, so it’s definately time to get my hair cut. I don’t want anything that’s really short, and it has to be pretty low-maintenance. Also, my face looks kind of fat sometimes, so what hairstyle could I get that would flatter my face and make it look thinner?
