low esteem cause of my appearance?
i’m a 15, african american guy and i’ve been growing out my hair for the past year to get cornrows, but i’ve noticed that i got more crushes when i had my hair short than since i grew an afro (to get the cornrows) and i think the reason IS the fro.
But since growing the fro, i’ve gotten little to no female attention (i care cause i’ve been looking to get into a relationship and i’m tired of being single) and it kinda lowers my self esteem. I’ve still got the fro cause i’m waiting for the back to grow a little more. I don’t want to cut it though but i don’t know what to do. any advice?
You shouldnt have low self esteem because of an afro.
Why do you want corn rows so badly? Is it for you, something YOU really want, or is because you think it’ll get you girls.
So what happens if girls dont like your cornrows (me personally, I dont)? Are you going to cut your hair off after youve grown it for so long?
My point is you cant go changing yourself everytime, to fit everyone else’s likes? You’ll never attract every girl because every girl likes something different. You cant please everyone! Trust me, been there!
Also maybe you should focus on your personality. Women like men that are confident and sure of themselves. So put your head up high and strut. Be a beautiful strong black man, with an afro. You dont know how powerful that is.
