How to curl hair with foam curlers/rollers?

I have a little bit more than shoulder length hair, it’s dark brown, and wavy which means it gets frizzy, too.
I just bought foam curlers and was wondering how to use them to get curls like this:

I’ll be trying to this over break (I’m working on my new image for next year)

Can I get a step-by-step way to do this? (perferably with dry hair)

Sorry honey but you need to start with wet hair. Put your hair up after washing in the evening and applying mousse or gel. Use as many curlers as possible and roll them away from your face ( or vertical like the other answer says). Get those curlers tight! Then sleep in them (a pain, I know, but trust me it’s the best way to get cute curls.) In the morning take your hair down, shake out your curls, and go! I had to do this like twice a week in high school for cheer, and I make my BF, who has hair like yours, sleep in them when I want him in tight curls for the weekend

Take your time, get used to sleeping in curlers, and enjoy!
