Cutting It Short

Formal Hairstyles for Short Hair?

My hair is auburn and about an inch above my shoulders with lots of layers. I’m the maid of honor in my friends wedding and I’m trying to find a formal hairstyle (up do, half up do, anything). I was thinking of doing the pouf/pompadour in the front and having the rest in loose ringlets but any other suggestions and/or pics would be greatly appreciatated!
