Cutting It Short

Hair Help once again.?

I have light brown hair with blonde highlights. I have naturally straight hair. I overheard people saying that I need to change more. So i’m cutting my hair in 3 days. I want new highlights but have no idea what color to do. I also wanna cut my hair. I don’t want a Bob, but I want it about 1/2 inch below my chin. Will someone help me decide if this would look okay. By the way, i’m graduating from 8th Grade on May 27th and need ideas for my hairstyle (my hair will be short by then, so I was thinking half-ponytail)
