a line cut w/ thick curly hair?

i have really thick curly hair and was wondering if an a line bob would work? i have had the same hairstyle forever because i cant find anything else to do with it.right now it is in long layers. i figured i would straighten it a couple times a week if i cut it.does anyone have any ideas for my hair?

i like thick curly hair in layers…a little past shoulder length or longer and with mouse or gel so its not frizzy but not to much so its not hard.
