Joining the Navy and wondering about hair for women!?

Lol ok so I’m probably going to join the Navy I know women must cut the hair if it’s too long so I was wondering if I went ahead and cut my hair (before boot camp) would they leave it alone if the length was right?? Or do they cut it on their own either way? Lol TRUST me I know it’s only hair and it’s only for 8 weeks of boot camp but it’s bad enough I have to wear the ‘bc’ glasses -.- anyway I have a few pics =] IF anyone knows whether or not the cuts are acceptable please please help me out!

ok so im going through the same thing right now, im going in the navy (signing my papers on monday).

From what ive heard from the female Chief at my recruiting station and other women that i know that have gone in recently they shouldn’t require you to cut it once you get there AS LONG AS everything about the cut is to navy standards.

Now that isn’t a rule, like i said SHOULDNT. But it is up to them when you arrive. What im doing is cutting it short before i go, that way i have a better chance of keeping it the way i want it. You know they will cut it if its to log so might as well try.

I would go with something closer to the second link. Just make sure you keep your bangs as long as possible. they cant be in your face and even with the styles that show the long sweeping bangs in the face you know that you could ‘ wash and go’ that style so they aren’t in your face. Short bangs are not ‘ wash and go’ and your not going to have time to mess with them.
